1. Who we are

This is the website of IPAN – the International Parent Advocacy Network. Our website address is: https://www.parentadvocacy.net. You can contact us using the form on this page

2. Disclosure of information

IPAN will not rent, sell or make available your personal information to any third party unrelated to IPAN, other than where the law requires it or where we have sought and been given your specific permission to do so. As IPAN is based in the United States, we comply with US data protection legislation currently in force.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

3. What information we collect and how we use it

IPAN collects and retains information you voluntarily submit to us through our newsletter subscription form and by contacting us by email. It is up to you whether to submit information to us and how much you provide. If you join our network to receive newsletters, we collect your email address and other personal data included in the form plus data such as your IP address may be gathered to check for spam.

IPAN’s Privacy Policy does not extend to any websites that can be accessed from this site or any related websites within the domain of www.parentadvocacy.net. The inclusion of these links on the Website does not imply endorsement of any material on those websites, or any association with their operators, unless otherwise stated. IPAN cannot guarantee the security of these sites, the operation of the links or that they will be virus-free.

IPAN uses social media and social networking services to advance our work. These applications require the use of third party service providers. We have a Facebook page and a Twitter feed.

The Twitter account we use is administered by Twitter, in accordance with Twitter’s privacy policy.

The Facebook page is administered by Facebook, in accordance with Facebook’s Data Protection Policy, and is accessible to Facebook users who have already consented to Facebook’s data policy. We do not export information on our followers from the Facebook platform.

6. Your acceptance of our privacy policy 

By using this Site and/or submitting your information to us, you consent to IPAN keeping and using such information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.

Our aim is to ensure that your details are current, accurate and complete. You have a right to see the information we hold about you at any time and we will correct it if it is inaccurate, provided we are notified accordingly.
